Video Conferencing

Apologies if this doesn't qualify as Green Moneysaving.

I'm looking for advice on buying some video conferencing products. There are quite a few companies offering similar services and equipment e.g. http://www.tandberg.com/ and http://www.lifesize.com/

Most are high-end and expensive. Has anyone used HD video conferencing products? Are there features that differentiate the services that these and the other big players offer. Can I realistically look at cheaper options without large compromise of performance?

Cheers
