Bridesmaid Dress Dilema

Hello,

I am still having a bridesmaid dress deliema. We need three adult dresses two size 10 and one size 22. We are looking for light colours, so dusty rose or light green (maybe olvie green) maybe even yellow. The problem is we need something thats going to suit two very different body shapes. I was going to go to Birmigham with the bride to choose them, but I dont think its going to be worth it now.

Wedding is in September 2010, and we can drive upto 1-1/2 away from Northampton, so as far North as Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham and as far south as London. I just want to be able to go some where that we will have a good chance of finding something, only option so far is this, http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/877456/230300 but 10 is out of stock online.

Please, please, please help me, as I have spent about 40 hours searching the internet. Any help would be great. Budget is £120 a dress tops.
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

  • I have seen the BHS dress in person, it is much nicer than the pics.

BHS can order in for you from other stores, give your local shop a ring, they are very helpful, if not they will find you a store that has one (if warrington have one I will post it to you)

    Good Luck
I am pleased to give hairdressing help or advice, but a thank you doesn't go a miss.

Ahh thanks. Maybe I will get the bride to check them out this week, after all if they are nice, this could be the one, however I know chances are we might end up needing to look at more then one.

Have you looked in Debenhams? Their Debut dresses come in different colours & styles.

Yerh they dont really have anything in the colours that we are looking for (debenhams)
Two body shapes are 22 (very big boobs, so have to be careful about tops of dresses) and size 10.

Problem is I am finding it hard to find anything in these colours, never mind two different dresses in similar colours.

Big boobs & strapless don't go well IMO - I have an "ample" chest, and I find anything strapless turns my boobs into a waste-level boob sausage :rotfl:

How about two different dress styles but in the same colour? I have seen this before and it is quite effective.. and in that was you can get one style to suit one body shape and another style to suit the other... which keeps everyone happy and sticks to the colour scheme!
Now a married lady and loving it! Now..to clear that pesky mortgage!

That is a really nice dress, however the problem I was refering to earlier on the size 22 side, means that often my boobies dont fit in to pre-determined triangles at the top of dresses.

I would consider any style or type of dress that comes in the colours / sizes required.
