Help - Creditlink Account Recovery Solutions

Hi,

I recently received a letter from C.A.R.S. for almost £500 for internet in a property I left almost two years ago.

It says that unless payment is received within 7 days there will be legal proceedings in a County Court.

I have heard nothing about this in the two years since I left the property and believe I followed cancellation procedures properly.

This is an extortionate amount - if there was an unpaid bill why didn't they get in touch 2 years ago?!

Can anyone advise me?

Kind regards,
Ben

    Hi

Well I guess as you have moved it may have taken them some time to track you down. Or the debt may have only just been sold on by the internet provider to CARS.

They have 6years to chase you for an outstanding debt.

First step is to send the prove it letter to CARS - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11570893&postcount=2
