Any Kia Cee'd owners?
Options
I currently own a fiat stilo thats having alot of electrical problems (italians!) but my missus is now pregnant and im thinking of getting something more reliable and newer as a family car. My car second hand is worth no more than £1200 so i was looking to see if any companies had extended the scrappage scheme and Kia have (in a remarketed kind of way).
In the household we need 2 cars so i was thinking of going with the Cee'd as the main one (for the missus in the day etc) and a cheap easy to fix runaround for me to get to work in (44 mile round trip) and when she's back at work in a years time she can have the smaller car for work as she travels a shorter distance and i'd have the more economic car for my longer journey.
Ive never bought a car from new and havent ever wanted to as they depreciate so quickly but the 2k off and a 7 year warranty is drawing me in, is this a wise move? Next year she will be on maternaty leave so we lose 1 income so im also worrying about the monthly payment, if its around £200 per month i could handle that but i have no idea how much it will be as they give you no indication on the internet
(if anyone has a new one and can let me know i'll be your friend :A)
Im sick to death of fixing my fiat all the time and i dont want to organise a holiday in England without worrying whether we'll make it there!
So any experience/opinions or general car chit chat is welcome. Help in my initial decision please!

Im sure there must be a forum for Kia owners, have a google.
I think a few companies are offering "scrappage" type deals at the moment.0 -

Owners clubs are often bias which is why i was trying to avoid searching through them! its still worth a look though so thanks.
I'm just after some real persons no hastle guide to a new Cee'd on finance and whether its worth the financial commitment if anyone has done it recently?
Cheers againMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
No I dont think they are biased, you tend to get all the gripes on there as well as the good stuff. I researched the cars I was thinking of buying through owners forums and it allowed me to discard two makes/models because of the number of complaints about them. Anyone on here who has bought one will be the same - biased or anti:) - at least with a forum you have hundreds of views.0

I bought a new Kia Cee'd in March. Didn't buy it on finance but happy to answer any other questions you may have. Only done 1600 miles in it but so far I haven't got a bad word to say about it.0

I'd have one if I was after a new car0

Hubby bought a Kia Cee'd a couple of years ago. Cheap to run & service, and has been amazingly reliable so far - 25,000 miles on the clock & only tyres have needed replacing (well, and a bit of suspension work, but that was down to him driving into a huuuuuuge pothole!). IMO excellent value for money, and a great car to drive as I much prefer it to my Auris
