I am looking to going camping with a few friends since im a newbie to it i dont want to spend loads of money can anyone recomened a decent 4 man tent and some accesories that i would need like sleeping bags etc. Would be even better if i could get a package deal. As with anyone i dont want something thats going to leak when were in it and where i live is pretty prone to rain!!!!!!!!!!!!:beer:

I am not a tent expert but I always find that tents come up small so a supposed four man tent can only really fit two people comfortably. The problem with squeezing too many people into a tent is you'll end up touching the sides. If you fall asleep touching the side of the tent you'll wake up soaked because of rain and dew penetrating the fabric. I know this from bitter experience. Try and get a bigger tent than what the manufacturer recommends, and you can also look for the little rain drops on the label which tell you how "waterproof" the tent is. Take that with a pinch of salt too but the more rain drops the more waterproof the tent is, allegedly. Try and get a tent with standing room too. It is sheer hell to crawl around in a tent you can barely sit up in but the worst bit is having to crawl out through the door onto wet grass in the morning.
