wedding dress dilemma

okay having a little bit of a happy/scared/excited moment here, i've found the dress i really really like (adelaide by maggie sottero), in a notice online that happened to be in a reputable bridal shop (i'd already made an appointment to go to them at the end of the month).
bonus is that the price is £250 cheaper than the normal price because it's an order that has come in but the bride has cancelled the order and it's the right size and the colour i was looking for!
i had promised myself to have a look at other dresses and a few more shops because i wanted to make sure that the adelaide was definitely the one for me but now i think this has to be a sign to just go for the dress because it's now actually with in my budget!
i emailed the lady today and she got back to me saying she still had the dress. i emailed her back as they're closed tomorrow so i can't phone! have asked to see if she could hold the dress for me till Saturday till i can get down to see her. :j:j:j:j:j
do i just run with it and buy the darn thing after i've seen it?

I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I then tried on several more because I couldn;t believe it was that quick! But nothing came close so I bought it.
A little tip though. Once you have made your decision and bought the dress...
STOP LOOKING!!!!!

Can't agree with this more! I would go in, ask the woman to put you in a variety of other dresses first then the adelaide and see what you think and feel then.
Good luck!!!Bump due 22nd September0 -
Hi gandy,
This is my dress too :-D I have pics of me in it if you wanted to see what a 'real' person (!) looks like in it...
Good luck x0 -
i have tried it on somewhere else before, but it was in white which really didn't suit my skin tone but the shape and all the detailing i really loved. (also tried on 8 other dresses that day) it's just such a big decision.
if i can get to try it on this weekend i might see if my sister (who's my bridesmaid) and my mum (who came with me initially) can come up to see what they say too.
noctu - actually if you could show me the pics it would be nice to see a real person in it other than trying to remember what i looked like in when i tried it on0 -
ooo gandy im so excited for you, sadly I won't be around after the weekend for a week because I'm on holiday but hopefully will see an update when I get back

If you try it on and it's 'the one' then get it! Agree totally with the stop looking thing though!0

don't think there will be any problem with the "stopping looking" after i've got the dress. i had originally drooled over the maggie s dress michelle for ages before i started looking so i'm pretty happy that the adelaide actually suits me

update....
couldn't wait for an email this morning so phoned @ 11 as soon as the shop opened.
she's holding the dress over for me till saturday, she has a sample the same size and colour which she'll let me try on and that way if i buy the dress it will never have been worn so no chances of damage or smudges on the dress.
my sis and mum are also meeting me at the shop so i can get their opinions, my mum has already seen me in the dress all be it was white and not the ivory colour but my sis hasn't and so it will be a new set of eyes to let me know what she thinks.
you never know i could have my wedding dress sorted by 5pm on saturday.... i'm so excited :rotfl:0 -
YAY I'm dead excited for you! Sadly I won't be able to have a nose at the thread till late on
