Stocks and shares ISA post-discharge

Hello all.
I'm only 2 months away now from automatic discharge (time flies when you're not being ground down by debt and business failure....)
Looking forward a bit, and with some help on the career front, about six months after discharge I should be able to get advancement at work with a boost in the income department. The situation all through bankruptcy has been the same - no excess to speak of, so I've got no moonbeaver payments to worry about.
Now I've got a much (vice-like) tighter grip on my financial situation than I did pre-BR, I want to start making some long-term investments, and the best way I can see to do this would be through a stocks and shares ISA.
I'm not looking for investment advice as such - I just want to know whether any discharged BRs here have had any luck with opening one of these accounts (and if so - with who?). I've read about some people having success with cash ISAs, but I'm looking for something a bit more long-term than that (seeing as how I don't have a pension at the moment, and want a bit more control over things than just paying into a pension plan.)
Any hints, tips & advice, as always, will be gratefully received.
Cheers,
WS

You should be able to open an ISA at some banks, as for longer term investments I don't see why you'd have a problem.
