Seems that bank doesnt want our business
Hi everyone, i am new.
Ok, so my wife and i have got ourselves into a bit of financial bother. We currently have 2 loans which we have sought advice from the Citezens Advice Bureau about. They have been very helpful and did a budget plan for us which meant we had to go back to the banks and offer a reduced repayment figure. Although NATWEST accepted they no longer wish for us to use the joint account. I have an account with HSBC which i can use, but, even though its in credit, my wife is not allowed to use her OWN personal Natwest either. Its as if Natwest dont want our business. THing is, i have read it may now be difficult for a bank account to be opened by either of us. I coult try and get my HSBC account turned into a joint account.
Any help appreciated.

Hi there,
Can your wife not go for a basic account? One without an OD which does not require any credit checks? I believe every bank must offer it (but Barclays, Co-op and BOS certainly offer it), you may have to go into branch to open it (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong)
