I have read somewhere that red/blue light can help with problem skin. Does anyone has any experience of using it; does it really help in clearing the skin? The products that I came across were quite expensive so I am looking for any opinions from people who have used it to see whether it is worthwhile buying one.

Thanks

Suppose it really depends on what the problem is. I suffer from psoriasis which responds well to light therapy, and from rosacea which definitely doesn't. Best thing would be to ask your GP/ dermatologist.

I've just been referred to a dermatologist for my acne and scarring and this was something I was planning to ask about as I'm unable to take most acne medications. I'll let you know if I find anything out but I don't expect it'll be for a few months.

It's to manage breakouts/spots. What kind of light therapy do you take, if you don't mind me asking. I am thinking about the lightboxes that you buy and use at home, for example:

I don't as the Rosacea wouldn't react well to it. I think they usually use Ultra violet for psoraisis
