>hammer out a lending mechanism<
Printing mechanism surely? In a few years, I expect we'll hear tales of people turning their back on a wheelbarrow full of Euros for a moment and returning to find the wheelbarrow had been stolen, leaving the money:)0 -
So the German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has been rushed to hospital from the meeting. Apparently he "had an allergic reaction to some medication".
This has to be good fodder for some conspiracy theories, let me help you get started:
1. The medication in question was Rohypnol.
2. He saw the bail-out bill and had a heart attack.
3. Lost a fist-fight with Nicholas Sarkozy .0 -
Now the German coalition looks to be breaking up!
"German Chancellor Angela Merkel's party and its coalition allies have been defeated in regional elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, projections suggest.
If confirmed, this would see Mrs Merkel's national coalition lose its slim majority in the upper house of parliament, the Bundesrat.
Meanwhile many cities in NRW are on the brink of bankruptcy and local councils in NRW are sinking into debt."
German cities going bankrupt! Political chaos! Club Med countries heading for default! I predict a riot!0 -

Mrs Amcluesent: Ohh, will you look at, they've run out of 4 pint semi-skimmed. I'll have to get a 6 pint instead.

Mrs Amcluesent: God, it's only an egg...

Bit of gardening today as well. Well, digging up massive weeds before real gardening starts. The Mrs was doing a course in town yesterday so I cooked us a nice dinner.
Nowt much today - just chilled out and watched the footie.
What did you shoot?0 -
I bagged a squirrel and my mate got a rabbit.
Then we watched cardiff beat leicester in the championship playoff while getting drunk.
A great day all round."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -
