Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.action-smiley-033.gif

    Morning budgeteers

I had a big fat red week last week due to going out too much. On a positive note I was at a hen night last night and spent much less than I expected and still have cash in my purse so I must be getting better :D

I am out for a lunch with my friend today, we meet at least one a month for a gossip as she lives in the burgh. Likely it is not my turn to go across there as I would need to include train fare. So I am going for £45 this week and hoping not to spent more than £25 today.

    Have a good week:beer:

Can I go for £30 again please?

I am going to be paying for a lot of dinners etc this week as I'm away from home for work, but they will be claimed back so I'm not including them.

I only had one spend episode last week, that was the weekly food shop - unfortunately, we're feeling very unhealthy at the mo, so we splashed out a little on organic stuff which pushed me into the red, so I'm declaring red with £38.67.

This week we've got a wedding to go to, so I'm going to pledge £100 and try really hard not to get carried away!

    Have a good week everyone!

Bah, the shiny internet has led me to spend £19.75 on new jewellery. This leaves me £10.25 for the week now.

    B*gger.

    Morning all

I spent £16 on lunch and stuff yesterday leaving £9 in my purse and £20 in my spends account for the rest of the week. I have an exam for work in a few weeks so I need to start studying for that so hopefully not much spending this week.
