My son, who is on Jobseeker's Allowance, (with no home of his own) keeps getting invited to borrow £10,000 on a credit card.
Luckily he is sensible enough to bin the letters.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

ask your son to ring up capital one and tell them he wants his name taken off their mailing list and no more offers or contact etc- ask them where they got his details from- possibly some survey etc he may have completed. you are very correct about the dangers associated with it - many unfortunately are not so 'lucky' and use the card.My son, who is on Jobseeker's Allowance, (with no home of his own) keeps getting invited to borrow £10,000 on a credit card. Following on from that.I was pounced on by my bank manager who asked me if I wanted to borrow some money.Yes please I said.His eyes lit up but he didn`t see the funny side when I said I had totally no intention of paying it back.0

I had one of those the week after I had an IVA accepted including debt to Capital One. I dont think they're very selective with their marketing. Perhaps I should have applied for a laugh...
