Hi Penelope, thanks for the link, but what I really need is a website that allows you to plan your own meals and then print them out. Do you know of anything like that? Thanks chick.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0

Hmm, I'll have a think
What help do you need to plan your meals? I take a look at what we like to eat, new recipes from online, books and magazines, and write a plan - easy:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I've never used one before, so I was hoping someone else who had thought more about it had put something together I could use.
At meal times I normally just look at what we have and decide on something to make. I've found that knowing I'm making pizza on Friday nights takes the stress of deciding something away.
Also just to complicate matters, the wife is a veggie person, and my two little girls dont eat much. So I need to take that into account and be a bit clever. For example spaghetti, tomato sauce and meat balls. Spaghetti and meat balls for me and the girls and spaghetti and tom sauce for the wife.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Although it doesnt allow you to put your own in, this http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/planner-option1-month1.html does take away the stress of planning your own.

Hi HappyIdiotTalk,
There are some Old Style spreadsheets (including a meal planning one) here
This thread also has more suggestions:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

I have recently started putting together meal plans for the week, mostly because I was trying to cut down on visits to Asda and buying more than I needed.
All I do is use a word processor (Open Office) and list days then meals beside it. I can send to anyone who does want to see but it's very basic, don't get too excited!
All the family like knowing what's for dinner through the week and it really has helped with the shopping aspect. I know exactly what I need to buy and don't forget/buy too much.
It's also good to keep each week's menu so you can look back and see what you're eating all the time lol0 -
I have a chalk board in the kitchen, and at the end of the week I have a think about what I'd like next week, and what I have in the freezer, and write it on the board!
Although I want to clear out cupboards and freezer so am actually currently sat writing a plan (pen and A4 pad is the limit of my planning technology though) for the whole month. Amazingly I've got pretty much a month's worth of evening meals already in the house, bar a few fresh veggies!0 -
