The prize: The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, including breakfast, at The Atlantic Hotel, in Jersey, which this year celebrates its 40th birthday. Set in six acres of gardens and overlooking the sandy beach at St Ouen’s Bay, the family-owned Atlantic is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Its head chef, Mark Jordan, has a Michelin star for his work at the hotel’s Ocean Restaurant, and the prize includes one table d’hôte dinner for two, with wines chosen by the head sommelier, Sergio dos Santos. The prize also includes return flights to Jersey from a choice of 14 UK airports, courtesy of the tailor-made specialist Premier Holidays, which offers holidays in Jersey, Guernsey and destinations further afield, including America, Australia, South Africa, India and the Far East. The prize must be taken before November 30, 2010, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
