i am sure having an association on your credit file with a loan company of this niche will do wonders for your credit....

    Mortgage company,

can you explain how you were desperate enough to borrow £1 from a loan company

"oh yes, I needed it for my supermarket trolley"

:rotfl::rotfl::T TBeckett, you are such a good read :D

I did a short term loan for cashback on quidco a few years back (payday loans?) - similar sort of idea........charging ridiculous interest etc etc. I did get the cashback, but ever since get regular phonecalls from loan companies and pre recorded "need help managin your debt..........phone for a quote etc etc " pre recorded phone messages. We can't seem to get rid of them. Its probably about 3 a week so not extreme - but had I known I certainly would not have bothered with the deal.

Flipping heck, that's equivalent to an interest rate of 202940% !!!!!

The first £5 is the 'Admin Fee'!
Obviously still a ridiculous interest though!
