Starting to worry since reading beeker170572's post. I ordered 5, two of which were made up names (thought it was worth a try!) so I guess they won't be validated. If I had looked into it properly and knew they would do a credit check I would never of signed up. Hope my property won't get blacklisted from all these credit checks!
Oh well, live and learn!0 -
Be careful with these sim cards. They will charge 75p/month if you don't spend £5 within 3 months. Also if you go overdrawn( there is an automatic overdraft facility) it will start taking money out of your credit card account. It also costs £5 to cancel these cards.
You can't just forget about them, you will need to monitor your Quidco account and cancel them once you have been paid. That is unless you have bought them to actually use!0 -
So if I spend £5 on the sim from the £11 available (£1 me £10 bonus credit) within 3 mths I'm ok and quidco shoud've paid by then, so cancel it all then lose the £5 and still be £21 up??
ie £20quidco +£11credit-£5cancel fee-£5spend.. = £21
Please tell me this is right I'm losing the will to live!0 -

Thats right! Don' think they would charge you £5 to cancel though if you didnt have it in your balance. They may do though, haven't come across it yet!0 -
Actually why don't I pay the 75p a mth for say 2 mths = .75x2 = £1.50 then cancel
so £20qudico + £11 credit - £5 cancel - £1.50 fees = £24.50..
God I'm tight

I have to admit I think I've done this a little hastily too, tried reading through all the posts on here and the other thread and ended up more confused than I started!! So, just to get it into my thick head!!, I activate the sim card when I receive it (hope it works, never thought if my phones are locked or not), then I use say £4.00 on it within 3 months, at the end of the 3 months quidco should have paid, so I then cancel it online - is that right? Do I need to do anything in the meantime about the automatic top up and overdraft bits that I have seen mentioned? Thanks to OP - not just for the link but for giving me one hell of a headache over this!!0

Don't include the 11 pounds credit or the 5 pounds credit in your calculations. The credit which you can recover is only that which you have added on by way of credit/debit card and it is for this credit that easymobile charge 5 pounds if you want it back on your card. The promotional credit you get when you buy the sim cannot be refunded.IFA wrote:Actually why don't I pay the 75p a mth for say 2 mths = .75x2 = £1.50 then cancel
so £20qudico + £11 credit - £5 cancel - £1.50 fees = £24.50..

So the calculation would be more like £20 quidco - £1 - £1.50 = £17.50 -
Hi all
i will try to clarify issues.
Order the sim via quidco, activate it on the easymobile website.
Once quidco payout then cancel the sim.
The 75p charge is irrelevant because it will come out of your existing free credit from the beginning. It is relevant if you intend using the sim card.
It is optional to cancel overdraft facility so if you are never going to use the sim, and cancel once quidco payout then it doesnt matter. Auto topup is optional...
Use a referral number so that both you and the referrer get an extra £5 credit (if you dont want to use the credit, it will still mean someone else gets an extra £5 on their sim).
Go to this thread on the referrers board and follow instructions0
