Bank Charges V Nat West

Hi y'all,
Has anyone taken on the Nat West trying to re-claim bank charges and won?
I am in the process of persuing £2,699 back from them, but they are not being very forthcoming - I have just sent off my LBA and I am afraid it may go all the way to court - which I am very nervous about!!!
Any experiences from you guys might boost my confidence somewhat.
Thanks, in anticipation

I had some problems with Natwest trying to get them to refund charges (but we were only talking about £40!) and they were extremely difficult about it. I found their call centre particulalry horrible so I am not suprised at all that they are refusing to refund them at the moment!
My only advice is to keep going and not give up. I think sometimes large institutions rely on the fact that you dont want to go to Court and the only way to get your money is to keep pushing ahead with proceedings.
I have been to Court a few times and it honestly isnt that scary. The Court tends to go out of their way to help you if you are not represented and it is much more informal than you see on the TV (ie all sitting round a table rather than in the dock!). The Courts do produce leaflets to help you with your claims and with advice about hearings. The CAB will also help you with filling in forms etc and (if you are lucky) some kind solicitors will give you 1/2 hour's free advice and may help you if you get stuck (check the Yellow Pages or ring around for details).
Hope this helps.0 -

I'm in the process of taking them to court....they have acknowledged service of the papers & are intending to defend, but I haven't heard anything from their solicitors yet. My claim is £3044 including interest & costs2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
