Hi hope someone can advise.
I have a long term loan with a well known bank in the UK Since 2005. Bank loan comes of every month on the 10th. Today I checked and they have taken the funds out tonight! I know Monday comming is the 10th BUT 3 days early thats not right. Can I anul the contract as they have breeched it? Or can they do this?
Thanks

Can you contact your bank and confirm they have already been removed? The reason is that I thought I had the same problem, but the actual money is not removed from the account until monday morning.

Whilst the OP is clutching at very short straws, there probably is a simple explanation.

Direct debit, including loan payments that come out on Monday, quite often show as pending (i.e. money not available to account holder) on Friday at the end of the banking day.

I logged into my online banking this morning and direct debits for Monday are showing and my balance is uptodate to include the direct debit.

If this was a genuine error and you were paying with a direct debit (not a standing order) you would be entitled to a refund from your bank.

This does not mean that you do not have to pay what you owe.
