DMP & Marriage

Hey guys,

Me & my hubby to be (on 21st May!) are on a DMP with Payplan. Do we need to notify individual creditors of our marriage or just payplan (or don't we need to notify at all?)

Are you on a joint DMP? assuming it won't affect your finances at all (as in terms of the amount you have available for the DMP) I would see no reason to tell them

Hi yes it's a joint DMP and nothing will change financially (others are paying for everything so it's not like we are spending money that would have been for creditors). Thanks for your reply x

Hi

I got married after I'd been on my DMP for 3 years. I've left all my accounts in my maiden name and nothing has changed. I mentioned my marriage to Payplan and the reply was that as long as they have the name that is the same the creditors have then there is no need to change anything.
