The High Street Web - daily clickthrough - problems

Logged in to Quidco today to find out that I've been banned from doing The High Street Web clicks as has my partner. To add insult to injury neither of us can do their clicks through Rpoints either. That makes a total of £87.60 a year we'll be missing out on now so pretty miffed to say the least.
I understand that The High Street Web use some kind of 'fraud protection software' as they advise before you click through from Quidco. However my partner and I have been doing these clicks day in day out for years with no problems. I can't see that we're doing anything not allowed - I can't find anything that states one person can't do clicks from two different cashback sites, and I can't find anything that says two people in the same household can't do their clicks. We're not breaking any rules so why the sudden block?
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to get around it? The High Street Web says on their website something like 'if you think this isn't fair click on the feedback link to the left and tell us' but there is no feedback link to the left, or anywhere else on the page for that matter, so doesn't look like you can contact them (I looked for an email address on their site but there isn't one).
(Edit: spoken to Quidco who say they're not allowed to contact The High Street Web about it and have no information about this problem. Anyone got any contact details for The High Street Web? They have no email address on their site.)

They allow a maximum of 1 or 2 clicks a day per visitor. If you and your partner are using the same connection and therefore the same IP address, it'll look like you're clicking through 3 or 4 times per day.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

It was max 6 per day by IP.
If you change you're IP you can click again.0 -

Also we've been doing a total of 8 clicks a day between us (2 clicks through each site, 2 accounts for 2 people) for years. Why do they suddenly have a problem now?! This is why I want to speak to them about it. It seems highly unfair (if it's a problem now, it should have been a problem the first day we did it, surely?) and I'm quite upset at now losing out on nearly £90 a year just because they've suddenly decided we're trying to defraud them somehow... sad but there you go!
On Quidco it says thisPlease read the following before proceeding:
Maximum of 2 actions per user per day. Please note that thehighstreetweb implements "click protection" and "fraud detection" software, and will only pay commissions for genuine UK visits. Visits to the archerfish site will not qualify for the cashback offer.
TCB sayUnique visits
£0.04
Cashback

Well that's a load of cr*p, not you, them. How can you have a maximum of 1 or 2, it can only be one or the other.
If they have two maximums, how do you know which one will be enforced on the day you click? Will it be a maximum of 1 click today, or 2????????????0 -
thriftymanc wrote: »This is what I was referring to in my original post - I'm clearly not breaking this T&C. It says "per user". It's not all coming from the same user account. If they meant "IP" rather than "user" they should have made that clear - still doesn't make sense why they would have turned a blind eye for so long though! I've already complained to Quidco but they say it's nothing to do with them. This is why I need to talk to The High Street Web but they've made themselves totally uncontactable, apparently
Who are TCB (that you also quoted)?
TCB are Top Cash Back. I think they would have to use IP addresses as there's no other way of regulating it. One person (if they had nothing better to do) could sign up 10+ user accounts on Quidco and just sit there clicking all day. I'm not 100% sure it's IP addresses, but it seems the only logical way to me. As for why they've been happy before, maybe it takes time for them to notice? After all they probably get 100's of thousands of clicks a day.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

Thats probably because youre IP changed.
I'm on a static IP and haven't done HSW for 12 months now.0
