Babyliss 2082U straight/ curl ceramic syler half price

These have good reviews, some saying that they are better than GHDS. I had my long hair curled with a pair last week and was really impressed, now £24.99.

I've had 2 pairs of these bought for me a couple of weeks ago. I've had to return both for turning themselves off when they got up to temperature. I swapped them for remington wet dry ones, IMO far better

I hope mine are OK. They gave me such a lovely head of curls, I was really looking forward using them.
The hairdresser was raving about how good they were, her only complaint was that the position of the switch meant she occasionally turned them off accidentally. I checked all the reviews as well.
Well I suppose they are under warranty.
  • Can I ask how you get curls from these - do you have to pull the hair through them?
    Thanks.

My hairdresser places my hair in them near the root, wraps it over and twists then pulls the hair through. Theres a number of video on youtube showing that method. I have a similar one at the moment and do it by putting my hair in then winding my hair round from the top round the barrel as I cant do it by pulling it through. It looks OK but not as good as the first way.
    Hope this makes sense!
  • Thanks for this, it's just that when my daughter has it done this way at the hairdressers it looks like it really yanks at the hair and doesn't look as if it would be very good for it.
Still they look like great straighteners, going off the reviews so I might get them anyway.:)
