This is cheap, but these gadgets are not supposed to be effective in repelling bugs.
"Electronic mosquito repellents that are supposed to drive the insects away with high-pitched sounds do not work, researchers said. A review of 10 field trials in various parts of the world provided no evidence that the devices were effective".

Complete rubbish ! They do not work. sadly I bought 2 for £25 on a B.A flight 3 yrs ago.. have tried it out every summer since and they're more than useless .The price was reduced so I should've wondered why.
* Beware reduced stuff in B.A duty free ! ( there's a free iphone app that makes the same noise - give that a go !) .0
