New telly for granny

My granny will be 90 this month and the family are clubbing together to get her a new telly (a bigger one, so she can see it more easily). They want to get her a 37" lcd one. To be honest, none of us have an lcd telly and I have no clue as to where would be the best place to go or where would be the best price. Also, I take it we need a stand of some sort if it's not going to be wall mounted? And should be take out insurance?

If anyone has any advice, that would be great.

Thanks Eric :-) Is that a good price? - wow, it's really expensive. I'm beginning to think we haven't realised how much this might cost.
