sewing machine under £200 (preferably a lot under)

Im looking for a new sewing machine, Ive had an old singer for years but hardly ever use it as by the time Ive set it up and got the tension right it's time to clear away again or I could have done the job quicker by hand. The last time I got it out it looks like it's been dropped or some such as the bit that moves the needle up and down is misaligned and hits the sewing foot.
Now DD1 is due to go to uni in September I will have space to set up and leave out.
I dont want an all singing all dancing one but would like a stretch stitch and a sort of overlock stitch for neatening raw edges.
Any recomendations or 'dont buys'

Thanks, Alison

If I were you I would try http://www.sewingmachinediscount.co.uk/ . I got a sewing machine off of this site and it was really easy. Didn't have a problem with them at all. I got a brand new Brother sewing machine for a little less than £100 including P&P when the RRP was £250 for it  (January sales made the price better though to be honest).
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
  • TJ Hughes have Brother machines for £60 and Singer for around the same price (Maybe slightly more)
