    Hi
You could cover them inside and out with paper or wall paper. I use a pringle tube to keep my knitting needles in. Others coujd be used as desk tidys, keeping buttons or other bits in.
Some gravy pots are quite wide so maybe you could put a small planter in and use that way.

If you have a bit of fabric and can sew a little bit the Country Dammit Doll is great to put inside decorated tubs. I made these last year for the girls at work and they loved them :D

Hi there I take the bottom off thebox and make them into crackers using xmas/birthday paper and then fill with a few items for birthday, xmas presents etc. Also use newspaper or brown paper tied with string or garden twine for themed nights, 1940's Fish and chip party etc.

I've used this sort of thing for the past two christmases. Cover gravytub with red felt, white beard, goggle eyes and hat -popped in small tub of 'slime' for 'Santas Snot'

Cover Gravy tub with christmas paper and reindeer, fill with oats for Reindeer food for christmas eve box

Pringles tubs I've covered with pretty paper and put in small bottle of bath oil (I decanted cheap Tescos own into a pretty bottle) and popped a few freebies in (moisturiser etc.) for a 'Pamper Pot'

Cover with white felt, add goggle eyes and nose, cut off small sock at the heel and use it as a hat-fill with bon bons or white marshmallows for a pot of snowballs

Really there's no ending to what you can do with them.......covered with pretty paper they make a lovely gift tub for socks/gloves or scarf
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

the pringles tubes can make pretty holders for all kinds of gifts when covered in fabric/paper/embelished. skincare/ perfume samples? sweets? love notes? etc.

for the jars, have you tried a jar journal?
