bos loan with no ppi apparently.....
hey guys just a quickie, phoned my bank(bank of scotland) this morn to see about kicking in the ppi on my loan as im recently unemployed and struggling a little. i gave them my loan agreement number and they said that i have ppi(i knew that, dimwits). they then put me on to the company which it is with and they said that they have no record of it going by my loan agreement number or my address. so before i phone bos back up, where do i stand with this situation? any advice on what i should do?
thanks

Hi and Welcome
Do you have the original paperwork with the PPI information on it? How long have you had the loan? can you see PPI being charged each month on your annual statement or was it pre-loaded at the start of the agreement.
I would imagine (but not an expert) that if you have paid PPI you should be able to make a claim, if in some way the bank have messed up and you don;t have a policy then you should be able to reclaim all PPI premiums you have paid and make an official complaint to BOS (who should therefore be more lenient in accepting reduced payments from you whilst you are unemployed).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
