I think an hour is long enough really...

I disagree but then I am one of those incredibly annoying people who accounts for all eventualities like a car breakdown, hassles with parking, queues etc :rotfl:

Hence why I vote first thing in the morning, even when I was working....I just left a little earlier.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Rioting disgruntled would-be voters - they're blocking ballot boxes from reaching the count in Sheffield.

Suggestions of some sort of re-election if people were queueing before 10, didn't get to vote and the majority is down to a few hundred!

Oop 'ere in't North there's now plenty of reports (radio / TV) of "hundreds" prevented from voting in Newcastle.

This night is turning into a complete b0ll0x for exit polls if voters in city after city couldn't even manage their own entrance poll.

I think I'll stay up for this now. It could be some sort of unexpected history, after all. . .

If people went earlier there would still be queues & people not getting in...

Unless more staff were brought in..

Oh yes....but not quite so bad.

I had to queue this morning for the first time ever, as did a friend in Basingstoke and my parents at a different polling station to me....we've never experienced that before.

Sheffield voters refusing to allow ballot boxes out of polling station after they were stopped from voting after 10pm...

Ye Gods, viva. History is being made, then.

    * Just to update from whatever the hell's happened at Newcastle, reports are saying no, this is not a case of people turning up with only a few minutes to spare. Some appear to have arrived as early as 9pm / 9.15pm.

Are you anywhere near Tatton (it's just been on Sky)? I love Tatton Park. Excellent food in their restaurant - much better than you normally get in such places. :)

Maybe the polls should be open for 24hours?

The final turnout will be very interesting - give or take a few percent to take account of the ones who didn't get in.
