Question on Amazon

I recieved a £5 Amazon voucher from BrainJuicer - but a friend told me that I can't use this on private seller's goods? Is this true? All help appreciated.

Amazon gift certificates can only be used towards goods actually sold by Amazon and not private sellers I'm afraid.
