Xbox steering wheel £3.99 delivered. HMV. [CLOSED]

Anybody received theirs yet? Mine still states "On special order with suppliers", HMV the worst customer service I have ever experienced for online orders.

No! Since their confirmation of order e-mail (dated 16th August 2006) I have received five e-mails stating that the goods are out of stock and are on special order with their supplier - the last of which I received on 2nd October.

At least they haven't charged my credit card! I really hope they will fulfil my order, and if they don't... we'll see what Trading Standards has to say. :rolleyes:

Coincidentally, I've just received another e-mail (that now makes six):

Thank you for your recent order from www.hmv.co.uk Unfortunately the items below are not currently in stock and we have ordered them for you from our supplier.

The items are:
XBOX CONTROLLER TOPDRIVE GTX STEERING WHEEL HC

We are staying in contact with the suppliers and once we receive the items in our fulfilment centre we will ship the items to you immediately. You may check on the progress of your order by logging onto your account on the HMV web site.

Rest assured your credit card will only be debited as your order or individual items from your order are dispatched.

Same here just had yet another email...just exactly how long does it take to get stocks from their supplier? 7 weeks and counting now.

I'm wondering now if the offer was just an underhand marketing ploy to get us to register with HMV and give our details etc - and even place more orders. Although, it would be counter-productive because, after this fiasco, there's no way that I'm going to order from them again!

Let's just hope they'll keep to their word and come up with the goods.

I haven't received mine, but i've received about 10 'special order' emails.

I went to my local HMV store last week which had a few in stock at the sale price of £3.99, so I got one from there. It might be worth phoning around to see if any local stores have stock. I think you'll have more hope of getting it that way than online.

I never received my order in the end. :-(

After numerous emails from them stating it was on "special order", they eventually cancelled it themselves - more than six months after I placed my order!
