is it legal for a catalogue to take money from a short term interest account,i.e increase what one owe's.to pay said money to a buy now pay later account(long term interest)
to decrease that amount owed.or in a nutshell the more i seem to be paying off my account,my short term account still increases, not decreases.

I would imagine you would need to look at the T&C of the account to see whether it states they can choose which balance they apply the payment to (eg. credit cards can do this in terms of applying your payment to the promotoional balance transfer before the standard purchases) or to see if they include a clause to say they can offset the accounts somehow (like banks can take money from your overdraft to pay off your credit card with the same company).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
