Sadly there is a reason, ask in any phone shop about the flaws with this phone and they will tell you. I've just finally managed to get Orange to replace mine. The handset is prone to turning itself off all the time, you type a text message out, slide the handset shut and then !!!!!! it's off and the message was lost and never sent. The handset also unlocks if the slide keyboard is moved, not much fun when your toddler grabs it, or if it gets knocked in your handbag.

Another warning....son had his a week before the screen cracked. Not good phones for kids, teenagers or those who dont wrap their mobiles in cotton wool lol

Just thought I would add a positive comment about this phone, I initially looked for this phone because my 15 year old has just lost his, and as my 9 year old & my 16 year old have had this phone since Christmas without any fault occurring I thought it would be a reliable investment. Both of my kids love this phone and so far it has served to be very reliable.

I ordered this phone on thursday and it was due to arrive tomorrow am but it arrived yesterday so superfast delivery and was sent signed delivery, included in the price. i also went through quidco and will get a further £6.50 back. Got it unbarred for £1 on ebay. So far very happy with this phone and the price.

I had one of these for a while, I thought it was a great little phone for the money (and I payed more than £30 for it so this is a bargain)

Never switched off by itself once and never had any problems with it. You can unlock and de-brand it yourself with a bit of googling, its quite easy.

  • I have this phone and love it, I've never had any problems with it so I guess it's just the luck of the draw whether you get a good one or not. But I find it works great and it's very quick texting with the keyboard. I also use it for internet access which works well too. And it even has an FM radio. I paid about £45 for mine and it was on sale at the time, so this is a real bargain.
