O2 and lowell issues.

ok, so a few weeks ago i received a letter from a company called lowell who have purchased a ''debt'' that i had with O2 for £987.
The debt was written off by O2 as it was an error with email software that meant my data usage was incredibly high.
now i have been in contact with O2 regarding this and because they sold the account they don't keep the data anymore and the only information that lowell have is the payment details i made.
is there anything i can do as to get lowell to drop it or am i lumbered with it?

Do you have written confirmation the debt was written off?
What i would do is send the prove it letter to lowell as they need to get proof you owe the money, if 02 have no proof, then they cant hold you liable.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
