Is anyone selling for betterware.Is it worth going for. Need to earn a few extra quid with all these rate bills etc!!!!!

I tried Kleeneze a few years ago, but it was hard for me personally because I am a single parent and my daughter was only 8 at the time. You need to be well organised and preferably have a computer to order stock etc. You need to note when and were you have left catalogues and then go back a few days after to collect them and any orders received, then order Stock and return again to deliver and collect payment. Also bear in mind, that you need to be at home to receive Stock or have it delivered to a work address, if your company will allow it. They are good at sucking you in with all the success stories, but really you need to be either working part-time or not at all, if you want to make big money, otherwise it is very time-consuming and takes a long time to actually reap the rewards promised. Also beware of enroaching on someone elses patch. Fair play though to anyone who has stuck at it, and it works for them. :T0

We keep getting these catalogues through the door and I admire some of the people that work hard trying to build up a business but the thing that is always in the back of my mind is that I can buy virtually everything at about half the price in various shops around town.

It's true starting a business is not going to be practical for everyone, but if you are looking for a few extra quid it's worth looking in to. I work full-time and work my business over the evenings and weekend. In the 10 months I have been in business, my extra income has enabled me to pay off all my credit card debt, all debts to catalogues / store cards etc, a £1200 overdraft and almost half of my car! I'm not earning 'big money' yet, but I think that's a success story all the same!
On the finer points, if you have a 'safe place' (garage, shed, garden storage facility etc) at home, you can receive delivery if you are not at home.
Also Kleeneze do not allocate territories to distributors, so you are allowed to go wherever you like with catalogues. On starting out I discovered I crossed paths with several other people, but it obviously didn't do my business any harm! You find your own customers just as they have done. Personally, I do try to ensure I don't drop catalogues in the same place at the same time as someone else, as I can understand that this is confusing and annoying to people.
On IvanOpinion's point, I agree some products can be bought in the shops easily and sometimes at a cheaper price. But the majority of products are hard to find elsewhere and not all people have easy access to shops in town. Many of my loyal customers are elderly / ill / disabled and can't leave the house to shop or would otherwise need friends or family to assist them or do the shopping for them. They appreciate the service I provide and I presume that is partly baecause it allows them to have that independant shopping experience.0 -
it annoys me that people leave these catalogues at my door, i dont even pick them up as they are usually full of tat like products that i can get more easily myself. also the ordering mechanics are too slow, unreliable, risky and inconvenient. i dont know how such services survive post internet retail!0

if u dont want them jsut pick them up (in case it rains) then put them out on the specified day with a wee note saying please dont call again and they wont. we are only trying ot run a business and the amount in lost catalogues lost is phenomenal.love you lots like jelly tots

seriously put a note and they wont leave them again. then the book can be passeed to another potential customer. they will thank you for it!!love you lots like jelly tots

In reply to darrenfinlayson, if you don't pick them up then how on earth do you know what's on offer, or what the ordering mechanics are like!?! And in my post I explained how not everyone can or would shop online or can get things easily themselves!
The service I provide is reliable; officially customers receive their goods within 14-21 days quaranteed, although I can deliver sooner within 7-10 days.
There is no risk to the customer in ordering products, as they pay on delivery. And then they have a choice of paying by credit / debit card, cheque or cash. If they are not happy with anything goods can be returned for exchange or a full refund without any question or hassle.
My customers obviously value the service I provide and find it very convenient. Home shopping is still a thriving business and is actually growing, whilst high street shopping is in decline. What is more convenient than browsing through a catalogue, making a wish list and getting someone else to go get it for you, and deliver it to your door free of charge! It is not so different to internet shopping after all!
Kleeneze in particular has revamped the design of their catalogues this year and they may be a lot more contemporary than you might think if you haven't looked at one in years. They also have an excellent website where internet savvy customers can browse through the catalogues before contacting a distributor to order. The company has survived and thrived for over 80 years, and is always adapting to the times and listening to what their distributor's and customers want. We must be doing something right!0 -

sorry, its just not for me, but i can understand how it could be a very valuable service to some people. i have picked up the catalogues in the past and they always seem to contain similar stuff, so i dont bother any more.
i think its because i have no patience at all, if i want to buy someting i generaly want it right away or i forget about it. though i do shop online either if i cant get something locally or its much cheaper online.
i have ordered from the home shopping catalogues in the past, but because i rarely sit down for any period of time it was difficult to arrange deliver times and payment.
like i say, i do think the service is a valuable one for some people im just too impatient and unavailable!0
