Mortage shortfall and Drydens

Please help ,, My house was repossesed in 1993 and was sold for 15 K this left a shortfall of 17k i had no contact until 2005 just 2 months befor the 12 year deadline when i got a letter from County Court saying that bradford and Binglyhad applied for a charging order, the company acting for BB was Drydens, when i got the mortage i never made a payment i lost my job i am now employed the court order was made for 34k 17k the shortfall and rest made up of intrest..

My question is should the intrest have been added because it well over 6 years , i am paying the court order of at £16 pcm and could now pay the 17k off but Drydens want the full 34K.

Thanks

Russ

Try posting on the "debt" board. There may be more experts there.

  • I think this is something you might need legal advice on. Have you tried your local citizen's advice burea, it's free and if nothing else they should be able to point you in the right direction. It's worth doing while waiting for reply's to this as they might be quicker at it as it looks like you don't have much time to sort it.

Do a search on this site for articles about the citizens advice burea, it might help you locate your nearest one else call the local council as they'd know where it is.

    Hope this helps,
