Re the phones, sorry I did write it on, but not very clear, is £30 a month for a contract phone.
you can often downgrade the contract after 6-9months depending on the provider, find out, keep an eye out and ask to be stepped down when its possible. We have an arrangement to pay £30 month off it, but i just want to pay it all off.
worth putting this in the SOA short term to help budgetingAlso, csa want about £600 and once they get my partners emplyment details, they will be taking £38 a week out of his wages, which I feel we cannot afford,
again, worth putting this in the SOA short term to help budgetingas we have a private agreement with the childrens mother, and pay her directly.
I'd be very wary of this, is everything agreed, agreed in writing? is the money being paid by a traceable/verifiable method if you ever need to prove it was paid in future?
and again, worth putting this in the SOA short term to help budgetingMy partner is waiting for his taxrebate, then is going to go bankrupt as he owes about £60,000 from the old house, debts etc that havnt been paid for years.
do you have any debt in joint names, again be careful as him going bankrupt will make you liable for 100% of whatever was jointly outstanding, possibly needing immediate payment.0 -
Ahh, well I just multiplied it by 4!! Thanks very much! Will get that changed.
Its another two and a half years until my youngest is at school.
I did used to work actually, gave up in Jaunary, as it was working out that I was only £30 a week better off, and for the hours I was putting in, it wasnt worth it. Never saw my kids, or partner.
I am just about to write a letter to the council to sort this out. There are two accounts with arrears, and I have a feeling we are only paying one of them off. So Id much rather pay a lot more each month and get rid of the debt, anyway so going to write them a leeter now. Yes it was the council telling us to ignore these summons, but now thinking about it, it may have been for the account that ISNT being payed off. I think they have made a mistak,e somewhere.
Yes we are paying his ex by online banking so it can be proved. She isnt to be trusted any other way tbh.
No we have no joint debts, only the council tax. Im not in debt apart from my overdraft. I am going to read abit more into the BR thing because I just read that they will probably take your car (even if its only worth a few hundred quid?) and we need it to get son to school and my partners kids. And also read they will take luxury items, which to be honest, we probably have a lot of, so its not something i want to do.
However.... He owes RBS about £15,000 and hasnt paid them a penny for a couple of years nor have they really tried to get any money off him. Also the house was repossessed over a year ago, and there is a lot owed on that too, but they havnt looked for him at all, so I dont know what to do.
If he doesnt go bankrupt, he will use his rebate to pay off csa (because they take huge chunks of money at once) and I am now going to arrange a better payment plan with the council.
Everyone is really helpful, thanks.
