hi all, head change time

Teaching was good and nice to see lots of familiar faces for the 1 session but so tiring and my back was incredibly painful as I drove home/had my dinner etc.
Ash cloud is slightly concerning me and hopefully won't start moving my way. Said to OH this morning - if we don't get there we are hiring a beach hut for a fortnight (in a joking kind of way in that we'd do something for the 2 weeks) and he just replied ' I would go back to work'
Oh well, if I end up with a beach hut in Poole on my own for 2 weeks rather than Mallorca, maybe I might just have to see if I can find myself a little holiday romance with a passing knight on white charger....you never know I might get whisked away being a fair maiden etc

Am not having salad tonight...Think i might make steak korma and put the rest of the spuds in it too (for Pint, not me) and that'll be nice before the cinema. He has barely drank since Sunday - I am so impressed with him.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

BB, I'm for Mallorca on 29th of this month and am very concerned about the ash, not so much for going out but coming back. Don't want to be stuck over there with 3 small children not knowing how things will work. Hopefully things will pick up soon.
I'm at work and it is dull and boring.0 -
bb was thinking of you this morning when i saw the news on the internet

well i've grouted the tiles above the sink, its not as easy as the builder made it look either
not sure whether i have to grout the bottom between the first tile and the sink? or if i have to put sealant there? Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Not really bothered about the getting back bit, with no kids etc it wouldn't be a problem to find somewhere to stay. I'm going to take one of my nil balance CCs with me - one with a high limit and tell the CC company i'm out of the country so if it needs to be used it can be. There will be plenty of access to the internet etc and sorting something out like that doesn't bother me.
I would be gutted not to get there although there would be every chance of me just clearing off for a few days on my own somewhere in the UK and letting OH get on with thinking work was more important.

I love Cornwall

just saw something that made me think - why am I bothering here. We have a caretaker vacancy, starting salary a shade under 17k and goes up to 19k. The job is opening up, closing up, move tables, do a bit of painting, sit around drinking coffee, hide round the back of the building smoking and generally do not much else, we are just in a small building. My morning job involves lots of confidential personnel stuff including knowing about disciplianry issues sometimes, training, senior management support, getting involved in projects, research on behalf of the managers for x,y and z, dealing with learners and all the ins and outs of classes etc and because it is classed as 'administrator', the salary is a band below that of a caretaker - the top of the band is a point less than they would start on! Not happy and it can't be re-banded because all local authorities have been through a job evaulation and basically that's the outcome, in fact i'm pretty disgusted
