Just got a cracking deal for my mum from Intellifoam on ebay. My one was on ebay too, and you do get great deals there - but beware, Tempur, the expensive brand name market leaders, use 80lb density foam, most of the cheaper versions are only 65lb - Intellifoam is 80lb.. King size was £249, and double £209 - which represents GREAT value (pillows £35 also good deal). Make sure you get at least 3 inches of memory foam on the high density base foam, and that the cover is removable and made of stretchy material. Good luck, I will never go back to conventional mattresses, though it did take a few weeks to get used to it, as it is a very different sleeping experience initially. I have never looked back and my back loves it!!!

If you know someone who's got a card, Costco are doing single toppers for around £119 and kingsize toppers for £158; pillow for about £25. They're no different to the full mattress in my opinion as I've slept on both - got our topper Sunday and it's worth every penny. Wonderful for my slipped discs.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

I also recommend the Concept Wohnen Ebay store recommended by Lord_Gardener. My brother bought one from them and thinks it's amazing.

Another vote for the Costco topper here, with a decent mattress underneath it, definatly worth buying if your current mattress is still in good condition.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • If u r happy to wait a few days, I can have a look on the Which site as I am aware they did a review of memory foam mattresses recently. Please let me know if you are interested.

been looking for one of these for a while now, ibe just seen a double size memory foam mattress on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180021728097&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1 for £115

seems like it could be a bargain at that price, especially because its a full mattress and not a topper.

anyone know if it is any good? just wanna make sure before i order
  • I bought a double one from Makro a few months back and it set me back about £230 incl of VAT.

At the time I had checked and rechecked if this was the cheapest and it was.

You do need a card to purchase from Makro but I just borrowed my mums, they don't check!

Any idea from whom? Tried 'intellifoam' on ebay - no results, and the actual Intellifoam site is a lot more expensive than the above.
