I don't see why not. You could try a few squares and if it is no good, have a rethink.Member 105 of 1% at a time - 23/100 :j0

It might be a bit tickly - make sure it is over something else- but it sounds lovely."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

The silky bits are easily pulled through and out of the thread, this might be a problem if the baby sucks on it. Would make a gorgeous throw though.
doddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

One of our local pound shops (I live in Barnsley) has a variety of those knitting wools at (obviously) £1 per ball. There are a narrow range of colours (all multicouloured, but with a bias e.g. mainly pink, or puple, or greeny) They have about three different types of fluffyness, (hard to describe really). Maybe other towns' pound shops are doing the same stock.

I wouldn't imagine it would be much good for a baby due to being a delicate type of wool. I can't imagine it would be easliy washable if baby were sick on it or had other leakage problems, and if they were to suck on it it could be a choking hazard.
I could imagine a small girl would love something like this as a throw for her bed though.

I'd say the same, the fluffy fabric might be just too dangerous for a baby. I did knit a blanket for DD last year in bright pink wool, I knitted it all in one go and it's almost big enough for her single sized bed.
This year I am making her a fur throw, with satin quilted material on the back.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I don't know, I just got on and did it whilst I was watching TV in the evening and like Topsy it grew
I had a hell of a job hiding it from her in my knitting bag towards the end though. I think I cast on about 90 stitches or so and just carried on until it was long enough to just cover 3/4 of her bed.
P.s. I've just finished a scarf for my eldest DD in two evenings. I can knit fast but I can't follow a pattern for love nor moneyOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

ok..so plan's changed..going to still do the square 'patchwork' type thing, but for on our bed..in dark, really rich colours..got some burgundy mixed, and i know ive seen a gold mix too..so i'm going to stick up and just keep going til its big enough..!
