in Credit cards
As of my 'signature' shows I have been debt free for nearly a year. Although I don't intend to get into a mess I wouldn't mind having a credit card, though I still get rejected when applying, admittingly I have a default on my account since 2007, is there anything I can do to perhaps rebuild my credit score or anything as I don't like the idea of being rejected credit for ever
Thank you
Thank you

Why do you want / need a card ?
You should be ok from 2014 as the default will of dropped off by then .....0 -
Is it urgnet that you need one if not then i suggest stop applying for them until around 2015 and your default will have dropped of leaving you to apply

Are you trying for mainstream cards or sub-prime? How many applications have you made recently?
If you want a card for section 75 reasons then consider a prepaid card - one does provide this protection which is the cashplus card. Other than that might help to read this - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score#vote
