I was shocked into writing though as I can't belive you have not had a win since. What are you doing wrong! Are you entering enough comps?
Only asking as the vitality show tickets are number 8 on my win list for 2006, I am now on number 29. Best wishes and hope you win SOON.

Black Saturn - can I ask if you enter competitions on sites other than here?

I've found Loquax - any others you can suggest?

well done - just starting out comping so its something to aspire to!
I enter nearly every online one and about 7 postal ones per week. I used to use Loquax but found comps were taking over my life and it was costing me more in stamps than the prizes were worth.

I've found that the ones in local newspapers are the best.

Hello again! As Prudent and Black-Saturn say, for success you need to enter comps. all the time. A little and often. I have been comping for years and won many small prizes. I must do at least 100 postcard prize draws a month. 100 2nd class stamps about £23. Then on line ones as the mood takes each week.I also do some of the leaflet comps found in the shops-just not keen on the slogan comps. as I never know what to say.
    Good luck everyone!

I only enter postcard comps if the prize is either 1) something I desperately want or 2) worth over about £100. You can loose money if enter too many comps for small prizes. My nicest postcard win was a two night dinner, bed and breakfast break to a luxury country house hotel. Also won a theatre break in London via a postal comp.

When I first started I did a lot online - with the intention of making my monthly internet charge pay for itself. And it did. I had to give up when I had other more pressing issues in my life. Now back and hoping to win again. I suspect with the amount of people accessing comping sites the odds of winning are not so good now.

I started comping about a month or 2 ago. I enter mainly on-line but do a few postal ones when I come across them.
So far this month I have won more than I did in the whole of last year.
  • I have been really lucky.

My biggest win was a few weeks ago on Hit40 UK, I won a holiday to Florida with £250 spending money, a state of the art PC and 2x tesco internet phones.
In the past I have won a DVD player and my phone bill paid off
A weekend trip to London with £200 to spend with a haircut in Toni and guys in Covent Garden, plus a private dance tuition with Nikki @ Pineapple dance studios and a chauffer to/from the hotel plus a day at Champneys, central point.
    I have won a stack of CD's
    Tickets to the theatre
    A coldplay CD
    Tickets to a dance festival
A haircut and facial @ Saks hairdressers.

All the above I won on local radio comps apart from the Saks prize which I won in a raffle.
