The cynic in me thinks that they just do this as a marketing tool. Get something on there at a silly price, get the site hits increased, more people viewing the site, some will look around at other stuff = sales increaees.

Agreed, this is classic baiting.

Dangle a bargain then whip it away at the last moment. One day it may fall off the hook and you'll grab a great deal, but 99% of the time it's just a hook to get you to their site.

And as MSEs know, DSG prices are VERY rarely a bargain.

Wait and see if it is still on their site again tonight. If it is I shall order another couple, wait for the cancellations, then complain bitterly to DSGs head office.
If nothing else we should mess them about as much as they have by using these methods to build up a marketing database.
