my husband's uncle just died, and we would like to send the family some nice flowers, or something similar. i don't really know what. we've been fortunate in that we haven't had much experience with this sort of thing. can anyone recommend a good florist, preferably one that will let me order online? the family live in derry. this is one of those cases where the price doesn't matter. i want to get something nice and tasteful. no supermarket flowers, etc.
any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Hi there
Sorry to hear your bad news.
I'd suggest https://www.interflora.co.uk - a trusthworthy name, know what they are doing etc etc. If their online service is similar to the shop service, then they basically contact the interflora branch nearest the delivery address and that branch makes up the bouquet and delivers. I've used them manys a time, ordering in an interflora shop in England for delivery in N.Ireland, never had a problem.0 -
my ex bought me flowers for my birthday from interflora and they never turned up and he was none the wiser and couldnt understand why i wasnt phoning thanking him. he complained and they arrived the next day (a bigger bunch thatn what he ordered) but they also said they wouold give chocolates f.o.c. which they didnt.love you lots like jelly tots0

I always use http://www.belfastblooms.com, their flowers are always fresh, plentiful and long lasting, oh and well priced.0

Your best bet would be to use something like yell for a florist local to where you want them delivered.
Ring them direct and order. Better value for money than Teleflorist or Interflora. The problem with websites, there are a number who make you think they're local, and they're not. They either take your order and send it through one of the relay services (Teleflorist or Interflora), or via a courier.0 -
My sister ordered a bunch of flowers online from a local florist here (she lives in England) for Mothers Day. The flowers arrived on the Saturday. My sister had showed me the photo of the selected bouquet online, but the bouquet that arrived a day early looked nothing like what was detailed on the website.
Do not go by the pretty pictures, the description can sometimes be ambiguous (seasonal flowers - meaning we give you whatever).
My mums bouquet had lucky bamboo smack in the middle of carnations. What?0 -
Hiya - I would avoid Interflora like the plague .. had two bouquets from them this year both received from the same interflora agent in Hull, they were so poor that I checked the main site to see what they should look like - they were nothing like ... then followed numerous complaint emails, but no apology or satisfactory reply ever received. Shoddy. Best thing, check on internet for florists in the area - better value by far.LBM - 1 April 2007
