Help needed- Credit check

Hi.

My boyfriend wants me to get him a credit check through experian as he doesnt have a credit/debit card.

Now i need some advice. Basically, if i run the check for him, do i put in my email address as i would only want to do the one check then cancel it, thus avoiding the 7.99 a month fee that experian charge.

But to be honest, i would rather it sent to his email address, but then how would i cancel it?

I am sorry if i am being stupid.

He can send a postal order for £2.00 to Equifax and Experian for his credit report. Do a quick search on MSE for credit reports. You can only register and search for your own credit file, you will not be allowed to view his file using your credit card details. Hope this helps :-)

You can only check your own credit file, if you use your credit card you will fail the idenitity check when requesting his file.
If you have never done a credit check before the 1st one is free (30 day trial) otherwise you have to pay, you cant avoid it.

I think the best thing to do for this would be to go and get the £2 statutory reports (postal). Either do it online or give experian and equifax a call to get them sent over.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
