Hmmm, I think creativity is the answer here....
I sent them an email claiming to be a Dental Products reviewer for a local magazine, I mentioned that I was doing a feature on tooth whitening products next week, that MacLeans products had been highly recommended by a friend and that I lived in a rural location and could not buy the products in my locality. :p
Hoping they might send a sample out - it'll be a nice reward for all that imagination used.

    You cheeky monkey, you;)

I think the word you're looking for is FRAUD....
The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
    It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.

We freebie hunters deserve do deserve a reward every now and then ya know. :p
Besides - they manage to wangle out of it:
    Dear Mr #####,

Thank you for your recent email.

We would very much like to send you samples as we realise this is an effective way of increasing awareness of our products. However, we are sure you will appreciate that GlaxoSmithKline receives an immense number of requests for our products and therefore we are unable to operate a sampling service as requests far exceed stocks available.

All media enquiries should speak to our Corporate Communications Department on 0208 047 5000.

We would like to thank you for your interest in Macleans and thank you for taking the time to contact us.

    Kind regards,

    Consumer Affairs Department

I wonder ... do these people take a look at MSE? I wonder what they'd say in reply to this post.

I requested a sample of kids toothpaste a few days ago. Had an email to say they would send me some.
Bad luck Elf! Looks like your creativity backfired on you! Better luck next time! ;)
  • I also E mailed Mcleans a few days ago. I asked for some samples to give out in our local school and recieved a box of kids toothpaste, colouring sheets and an information pack in the post yesterday! I'm new to this freebies game so maybe a bit of beginners luck!!

Yep, I'm a school nurse and we do dental talks as part of our role. I only got 40 though so only enough for one class, still better than nothing and the info pack was photocopiable so I can use that over again.
