Settle with Ex or Settle with CSA??

A huge dilemma, Sorry if this is confusing!
For the 1st time in 6 years, my ex (PWC) and I sat down with our solicitors to agree separation matters last week, financial & child contact etc... We never married and the case is under Scottish Law.
The CSA have recently chased me for arrears, I think since 2004. They do not know that for 3 years I paid voluntary maintenance that’s provable, and the mortgage since we separated.
There’s various financial matters under negotiation with my Ex. Basically, she’s offered to stop CSA chasing me if I agree to a, b & c. A,B & C are less than the arrears amount but will mean I’ll pay more maintenance in the future. This isn’t a problem, as I should anyway, and will do if we continue with CSA.
So my questions are:
1) CSA or not CSA?
2) Continue paying CSA (arrears & maintenance), or claim that arrears amount now part of ongoing negotiation with Ex, or both?
This is on the basis that if I continue to pay CSA. A,B & C will eventually be more than the arrears.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

If it's already going through the CSA then don't pay her another penny direct until you get it in writing from the CSA that you are no longer liable for any arrears or future payments through them.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

I think I already know the answer to this, but should I continue to pay CSA until Ex stops CSA AND I get written confirmation from CSA? Basically the amount of arrears my Ex is willing to write off will reduce if I keep paying CSA, making the offer less attractive over time.Debts at 02/02/20: c£225,000 inc CCs of <£1000 repaid in full monthlyDebts at 14/07/10: £278,091 inc £24k unenforceable and £16k consumer debt. She may agree to close it and write off any arrears, but she could re-apply at any time. Be sure to check with solicitor and make sure provision for the child/ren are included in a consent order, or you may have problems later on.0
