agreed, but then i also havent seen a great number of people in and out of that last property, doing it up or anything, i cant help but feel that something dodgy is going on, why would someone sell for 50k. its rentedout, so must generate an income ?? unless its some complicated thing like squatters or life long tenancy at peppercorn rent or something, its odd.

but as a buyer, im not going to consider that am i, im simply going to look and see, well over the last year, the prices in that street have gone 136, 80, 105 and 50.

You'll often find 50k sales or the like are right to buy scheme sales, or people selling a share of a house to someone.

Brother and sister, or cousins, inheriting a house share from parents/grandparents, etc, and selling to the other party.

Or divorced couples selling their half to the other.

Or friends who bought together selling out a share to the other friend, or occasionally even someone else.

Not saying that's neccessarily the case here, but it's the most common reason you get the odd house selling for half or a third the price of others in the street.

I do wish The Beano was still being published.

An MSE thread based on its front page would have an infinitely more intelligent source to draw upon than a rag owned by a !!!!!! king with a vested interest in seeing the value of his property portfolio remaining high.

yes, good point although it was up at auction. i dont know that it actuallly sold at the auction but initially thats how we knew it was up for sale, an auction sign outside the house. i then kept checking to see if it sold and the sold price came up as 50k on mouse prices, then today i see that its gone for 70k a month later

it wouldnt be right to buy, its a private house
