Is my credit rating improving??

Hi all,
I had a horrible experience this week - my work changed all our phones and made me apply for a vodafone contract. Vodafone are normally difficult to get an account with so I sat a day in sick dread of being rejected and having to own up to work about my problems.
Lo and behold I was accepted!
Now, I was wondering, how long til the credit search for that drops off the searches on my file, because maybe, just maybe theres a chance of getting this DAMNED cahoot loan onto a fixed rate somewhere in the next 3-4 months if my rating is healing itself after 3 years of clean payments. (it was totally @rsed before!)

Anyone?
My concern is that there is nothing surer than interest rates are going up following the election and that cahoot loan is on a flexible rate. I dont hold out much hope of bettering it, but to fix it for the life of balance would be comforting.0 -
Well have you looked at your report?
Get a copy of the experian (aka creditexpert) and equifax reports, £2 each for postal orders.
Until you see it, no one will have a clue at what state it is in.
If you can limit it yo 1-2 searches per 3 months you should be fine in terms of applying.
By the way if work has made you get a vodafone contract have they paid you the contract amount in full already, i.e. you don't want to sign a 24 month contract and be told in 6 months they arent going to pay for it any more.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

I'm afraid they havent but its a month to month SIM only contract so Im ok on that front.
I dont know why I didnt think of checking my report last night - the tightwad in me I guess!0 -
Either sign up for the free trials at experian/equifax or pay for the £2 reports. Not the equifax free trial is a !!!!!! to cancel so have a quick look, download a copy for reference and then get on with cancelling it well before the 30 days are up on the trial.
Also never buy a credit score they are meaningless.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Personally, I would not take on a contract for work. It is their problem.I'm afraid they havent but its a month to month SIM only contract so Im ok on that front.
