You should get a lot of good advice on here. If you're willing to post a statement of your incomings / outgoings we can probably give you some tips to help you get everything under control and get those debts cleared offDFW Nerd No. 140

What about other expenditures such as food, rent/mortgage, council tax, nappies, transport etc?
The obvious thing you need to cut back on is your mobile bill (nearly half of your income on phone calls?! ) but to get an accurate picture it helps if you can itemise everything you spend. The other thing that helps is if you can list the interest rates on your debts, your monthly repayments and your total debts.
The best way to produce a statement of affairs (SOA) is listed in a "sticky" up above - once you have one of those then it makes it a lot easier to help!
Kat.
P.S. Don't worry about it being a small amount of debt - if it's a problem to you then it's a problem debt.0 -
Good for you for posting on here before the debts get out of hand. Have you tried using an override provider like 18185 for your mobile? It's saved me a fortune, as I think I could have matched you in the chatterbox stakes until my lightbulb moment!Overpay!0

Hi sparkle.
Have a look at this thread for a guide for a SOA. You need to include everything. Food, nappies, socialising, hair cuts, internet, everything you can think off.0 -
"Mobile phone bill -depends was £172 last month "... WOW/.. You should be able to cut this down, How do you manage to spend that amount on the phone... look at getting an internet phone (Major supermarket advertise them) then get whoever you phone to get one/ now you can talk as long as you like, / :-) Keep your Chin up.. it can only get better
I'm one of those people who was born to have money,
but I just don't have any!

You can try using SKYPE is a free s/w on the Net, install it on your PC and you can talk to the world (as long as they have skype as well).
Its like a IP phone/cam kind of thing, just need to get a head set with a mic. Or if youPC has speakers and mic, great, there you go! Make your own baby food, potatoes are good, banana is great when mashed up. Mkae sure you buy diapers that are really cost effective ones, In Singapore, we use Drypers, it has the highest absorbency (last a long time), and the most cost effective to me...
Start forcing yourself to save some money, even if it is one penny a day. It is the habit that you will inculcate in yourself, and hopefully to your child.
Asia is a place where we make use of many ideas to be thrifty...I will keep it short for now...keep your chin up!Do not wish for things to be easier, wish that you are better! Your wealth-deserved is waiting!0
