Hi, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a bar/hotel with a function suite suitable for around 100 people for an engagement party? We live in Shawlands so looking for something as close to here as possible. I've already emailed Tusk and Clockwork, but struggling to think of any other options. Thanks!

Thanks for those suggestions! Nosht, Pollokshields Burgh Hall looks beautiful, but way out of the price range we're looking at, really looking for a pub or something similar. Save the cash for the wedding! :)
Jackie, do you know any details about the Couper Institute, size, price, etc? I can only find info on the library online.
    Thanks!

Ive recently been to the kings park hotel for a 21st and that was really good. There is the old southside social club (dunno if its still called that) which is down at the gorbals.
Ive also been to a function in the queens park social club which is just next to hampden stadium.
Have you tried any local bowling clubs or tennis clubs around your area?

I suppose the above would be SPAM if it made any sense.
  • It is important to have some planning on your part that may be required when choosing perfect function rooms, as convenience and accessibility is important in order to access the function room. Always check what the music capabilities are at the function room of your choice, as some function venues may have sound level restrictions.
