Some free, some they want you to buy naturally.A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.0 -
Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but I've just worked my way through the free reads on the Mills&Boon site over the past month or so - was in the mood for a bit of escapist 'junk-food' literature

I found Scribd.com the other day - was trying to find a book through google, and it brought their link up.
Plenty of ebooks in various categories - some just exerpts or unpublished authors, others whole novels from recognised authors.
I've only read online, but there is a download button, so it may be possible to port them.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

It has a 1509 free downloadable ebooks, most of them from a diverse range of well known authors (Agatha Christie, Stephanie Meyer, Robert Ludlum, Stephen King etc ). Its particularly good if you have a weakness for vampire romance (like me
), as it has practically all of the popular series. You can download up to 40 things a day, and you can also search the list, which is useful if you just want to look for a specific author instead of having to go through page after page of books.
except it doesn't, only has things (ringtones etc) for your mobile phone + download links to bootleg rips of film/dvds on their forum.

try google, you can find lots of good ebooks there which are free.
in the search bar just type the following (changing the name of what you're searching for.)"Oblivion" filetype:pdf
I've just easily found the "oblivion game manual", the "twilight" book by stephenie meyer, and also a book by stephen king called "desperation" just by using the above method.0 -
